Energy Efficiency Barriers

Barriers due to lack of information or inertia are preventing many organisations from taking advantage of opportunities for energy efficiency improvement that would save money, even given the low cost of energy today.

It is important to address these barriers in order to make economies more energy efficient, and so give them the capacity to conserve energy in the face of increasing energy costs and restrictions.

Moreover, many barriers to energy efficiency improvement are likely to be the same as or similar to barriers to innovation in general. Addressing these energy efficiencty barriers will help create innovation capacity.
