If you are a like-minded person who believes that we can change cities from environmental villains into living models of sustainable development, there are various ways you can be part of making it happen.
The more support we receive, the more we can do.
Donate
If you (or an organisation you are involved in) have any spare funds to donate to the cause, you can donate online very easily by clicking here. Any donations above $2 (AUS) are fully tax-deductible.
Become a volunteer
If you live locally, consider volunteering some time with us - there are all sorts of things you can do. (If you are not local, there may be a group in your area with similar goals you could help.)
The work of Urban Ecology Australia is carried out almost exclusively by volunteers.

Contact us and tell us about positive things that are happening in your community. Hearing about projects with common goals gives us all hope and makes us stronger.
Why?
Urban Ecology Australia has initiated ecocity projects such as Christie Walk, which is showing members of the public, the construction industry, and government and professional bodies how we can transform our cities into thriving, dynamic and self-sustaining places to be.
We are educating communities locally, nationally and internationally through a combination of educational programmes, a library and bookshop, fortnightly site tours of Christie Walk, workshops, public events and our international internship programme (which has attracted over 20 people from various countries over the years, and is becoming more popular each year).
We act in an advisory capacity to different levels of government (as an organisation and through its membership) for a range of ecological issues relating to cities (eg. Environment Australia's National Building Environmental Rating Scheme, the Australian Greenhouse Office's Your Home Technical Manual, Environment Australia's Steering Group for their Air Toxics Programme, Deputy Chair for Adelaide City Council's Local Agenda 21 Environmental Management Plan to name a few).
