Christie Walk - Path Garden
A pathway flanked by garden beds runs through the middle of Christie Walk in front of the Stage 2 apartment building.
Seating along the path provides a vantage point to enjoy the garden. There is space for neighbors to bring out garden chairs and sit together with food and wine.
The more water dependent plants in the beds next to the buildings draw residents out with a hose in summer. This adds to the conviviality of the shared space, encouraging passers by to stop and chat.
The less water dependent plants along the fence offer variety and are easier to look after. Many of them are plants native to the area.
